Hi, I’m Amber, owner of Press Play Cafe, mom, advocate and community partner with lived experiences supporting children and families in safe, inclusive and engaging environments.
My approach is structured, intentional and rooted in connection, giving children the confidence to explore, participate and grow while caregivers feel at ease and informed.
Amanda Heighton
Heeellloooo! I’m Amanda, I’m the Manager here at Press Play Cafe. I have a diploma in Child and Youth Care, and a strong understanding of child development, emotional regulation, and inclusive play.
I believe that children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and supported. I value play as a powerful tool for learning, confidence building, and connection.
I strive to create spaces where every child can explore, grow, and be exactly who they are.

Laura Kuipers
Hey there, I’m Laura! I’m a Barista and Team Member at Press Play Café. I’m currently enrolled in high school at Nicholson Catholic College, and after graduation I hope to further my education into a field focused on helping individuals physically.
At Press Play, I’m passionate about taking care of others and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for families.
Sarah MacDonald
Hi! I’m Sarah. I’m a barista here at Press Play Café and an actor with a Bachelor of Music Theatre from Queen’s University.
Creativity is at the heart of everything I do, and I’m passionate about building community and creating safe, welcoming spaces where imagination and play can thrive. I love being part of a place where people can connect, feel at home, and enjoy a great cup of coffee.
